THE AMAZING WORK OF YULIA BRODSKAYA

There are a number of designers (myself included) who firmly believe that handcraft will become even more desirable as we evolve towards a culture of ubiquitous technology. As blazing proof of this theory, I offer you an introduction to the beautiful works of Russian born artist and illustrator, Yulia Brodskaya.

Since graduating with a Master of Arts degree in 2006, Yulia’s highly detailed paper illustrations have caught the attention of an impressive and ever expanding list of global clientele. See more of her work on her website.

Pixel Cloud

.ARCHITECTURAL INSTALLATIONS BY JASON BRUGES STUDIO

Created by Jason Bruges Studio, Pixel Cloud is an awe-inspiring installation of specially designed light globes suspended as an eight-story tall matrix in the atrium of Allen & Overy in London.

Each light is individually operational and coded to respond in real-time to environmental conditions as broadcast from the worldwide network of Allen & Overy offices. This architectural chandelier took the prize as the winner of the Design Week Awards 2009, in the Workplace Environments category.
