BLOOM MGX LAMP BY PATRICK JOUIN
With nature as his inspiration, Patrick Jouin designed this lovely lamp which “blossoms” to adjust the light level. The shade is three dimensionally printed, including the hinges that allow it to transform from demure bud to glorious bloom.
THE WORK OF HEY STUDIO
I read a brief post on Minimalism this morning, and that must be why these caught me. It’s not an easy thing, paring down the unnecessary in visual communication, and the admirable work of Barcelona’s Hey Studio is smart, sparse and stunningly simple.

FORGED JEWELRY BY JANOS GABOR VARGA
The creations of Janos Gabor Varga’s Blind Spot Jewellery range from rudimentary to delicate, but each design is imbued with an unmistakable sense of power. It’s as if the artisan was muttering an incantation while he labored over the work for hours on end.
Varga refers to his jewelry as artifacts or amulets, and it’s no wonder. Slip these compelling BSJ pieces into the antiquities display case at any museum, and they could easily pass as decorative objects from an earlier time.
