GEOLOGY TEACHER CHAIR BY PIERRE LESCOP
Last month, I attended a conference for Architects and Designers where one of the speakers suggested a compelling method of successful workspace design. The idea being to consider the user as a co-creator of the environment and maximize the capacity for adaptation.
The Geology Teacher Chair, named for the interlocking pieces that suggest the shifting of Earth’s tectonic plates, delivers on that very approach (and it’s just plain cool).
SCIENCE PROJECT PILLOWS BY HEATHER LINS
Sporting diagrams clipped from the pages of old Biology and Earth Sciences textbooks, these Science Project Pillows make a fun decorative accent. More than quirky and colorful, the materials are eco-friendly, too.

TOTEM VASE BY BOYM PARTNERS
What at first glance looks to be a simple vase, the Totem actually divides to reveal four unique serving bowls. A great example of modern and space saving home goods design.
WORKERMAN BLOK PENDANT LIGHT
Love the roughly hewn elegance of this lamp that is made to order. Just as the company claims, their work is deliciously clean, modern and simple. See more at Workerman site.
SAVANNAH ROCKER III BY JOLYON YATES
Fluid, graceful and sculpted from Birch laminate, this rocking chair brings to mind a slower, more laid back era. Makes me want to sit a spell, preferably on a wrap-around porch with a frosty beverage in hand. What a nice thought to start the weekend…

JUST WHEN I WAS THINKING THAT CAT BOXES ARE TOO MESSY…
While hanging with friends this weekend, we got acquainted with a super sweet cat. The feline vibe is very different (we’ve got two dogs), and I started missing my own cats who passed six years ago.
So what do I find in my morning news feeds? Why the Modcat Litter Box! Great style, many colors, reusable liner, and a shape that limits the temptation for the dogs to snack on kitty treats. Hmmm…

Modern wall sculpture or radiator? Both, actually. Available from Caleido in a wide variety of finishes and shapes, these pieces add decorative accent and functional warmth. There’s even a design that doubles as a towel warmer for the bathroom. Mmmm.
